前作『EGOMANIA』から時を経て、THE RUSTBORNが沈黙を破り放つ渾身のフルアルバム。
タイトル『INHERITED SCAR』が象徴するのは、ただの「傷跡」ではない。それは、激突し、磨耗し、それでも立ち止まらなかった者だけが手にする「遺産」である。
サウンドコンセプトは「砂・鉄・錆・泥」。
洗練された美学を脱ぎ捨て、剥き出しの質感を追求した重厚なロックへと変貌を遂げた。低く唸るベース、エンジンの軋みを思わせるギター、そして乾いた大地に響く咆哮。全編を通して、不器用ながらも自らの足で立ち続ける「Dirt and Pride（泥と誇り）」の精神が貫かれている。
アルバムは、凄まじい衝撃と共に荒野へ降臨する「MARK OF LANDER」で幕を開け、避けられない運命を自らの手で設計する意志を歌うリード曲「CROSS BORN」を経て、ラストの「STILL HERE」へと到達する。それは、たとえ傷だらけになってもなお、そこに存在し、歌い続けるという不屈の生存証明である。

THE RUSTBORN is a raw garage rock project defined by its Code of Iron. Adhering to a strict minimalist philosophy consisting of no multi tracking, no electronic sounds, and no outside interference, all tracks are recorded in a single take. With whiskey burned baritone vocals, distorted guitars, and primal rhythms, THE RUSTBORN strips rock and roll down to its jagged core. This is the sound of a man standing alone against the noise of the modern world, proving his existence through a single unfiltered roar.
