On the Ridge

Miho Teruya

    On the Ridge

    Miho Teruya

I played it on my piano at home.

A long time ago, I wrote this hymn to nature because I was moved by the magnificent scenery I saw when I walked along the ridgeline from Mt. Tairappyo to Mt. Sennokura.
When I see the grandeur of nature in front of me, I feel that humans are tiny, and my daily life and worries seem so tiny. I think I wrote this song at the time. When I sing this song, I feel like I can look at myself and things objectively, just like looking at the scenery from the top of a mountain. I expressed the scenery seen from the ridge on the piano.

[About the jacket] This is a portrait of me that my daughter drew when she was 5 years old. I like it so much that I made it into a jacket.
