In the words of writer Ryotaro Shiba, "Since Japan and the Japanese people were born after the Kamakura period, I tend to think that former Japan, including its glamorous dynastic culture, is a kind of foreign country. This is an excuse for ignorance". Even in this age of Reiwa, from the perspective of large historical divisions, Japan and the Japanese people may still be in the dawn of a new era. The title song "REIMEI" was born out of the conflict between expectation and anxiety about what direction Japan will take in the future.
