BEFORE DAWN

Woke up at four, and I can’t find my sleep again

Your heartbeat and mine, they never beat as one

So I jump in the car and I’m pushing full throttle

By the break of dawn, I’ll leave you far behind

They might all say I’m just a selfish girl, you know

But I truly think that we are both the same

Like waking from a dream, it happened in a flash

The drifting of our hearts showed me the hollow truth

The time we spent was never meant to be a lie

But "forever" was a thing we never did believe

Oh, "Remember" is just a man’s romantic dream

Memories chase me down, and all my love for you

By the break of dawn, I’ll leave you far behind

By the break of dawn, I’ll leave you far behind

Chasing the line, right on the edge of every curve

We chose to love this way, I know that much is true

No need for excuses, no "it was a mistake"

'Cause I know for sure we wanted each other then

The time we spent was never meant to be a lie

But "forever" was a thing we never did believe

Oh, "Remember" is just a man’s romantic dream

Memories chase me down, and all my love for you

By the break of dawn, I’m cutting all the ties

By the break of dawn, I’m cutting all the ties

Genre & Concept: Afrobeat Folk
A unique sound style that blends complex African-derived polyrhythms with the heavy, grounded rhythm sections of Reggae, fused with the soulful melancholy of the Blues. It reimagines the introspective storytelling of Folk through a modern, rhythmic groove.
Tatsu's Vision.
Redefining the lyrical nostalgia of 80's Japanese "New Music" with the dry, crisp beats of Afro-Reggae.

4:00 AM. On the borderline between night and morning, frozen time begins to move. This track features a dialogue between the dry arpeggios of the acoustic guitar and the dynamic polyrhythms of African percussion.
"Remember? That's just a sweet excuse for a man." The moment she senses a shift in her own heartbeat, she presses the accelerator deep. While trailing the sorrow of the Blues, a heavy Reggae-inspired bassline powerfully pushes her toward the resolve of independence.
An emotional and organic "road movie" sound that races from the desert Blues to the dawn of the city.
