Artist Profile

  • Motoya

He made his major debut with Sony in 2010. After six years living in Tokyo, he suffered from depression and took a hiatus of two years and seven months. When he restarted in 2017, he realized he could no longer write original songs, and for the next nine years, 99% of his music was custom-made for specific people. He has now created over 1,000 custom songs for specific people. And as for his live style, starting on September 3, 2024, he attempted the world's first "reverse tipping live show," where he would tip 1,000 yen to the person in front of him before singing, and after the show, if they were moved, they could tip, or if they weren't, they could take the money home. He achieved this big project on December 3, 2025, by giving a total of 1 million yen to 1,000 people. Of course, the amount of tips he received was significantly higher. In 2026, he began preparations to hold the world's first "reverse tipping festival." We are gathering friends and comrades from all over the country to realize this unprecedented festival, where all performers and exhibitors will first donate 1,000 yen, and then provide songs, food, and services.
