  ​ "h i s a k a" was born and grew up in Tokyo, Japan. She started her career in Toronto, Canada in 2011. She knew no one in Toronto at first, however, she energetically joined jam sessions and open mics to make connections as many as possible. Her name has well-recognized at many music venues such as Jazz Bistro, the Great Hall, 120 Diner, Lula Lounge, Gate 403, The Rex, Aeolian Hall and so on. Jazz FM 91.1 audience and its radio personalities selected "h i s a k a" as one of 24 jazz vocalists in Toronto from 2013 to 2017. She was invited to perform at Jazz FM 91.1 annual event "One Stop Vocal Jazz Safari." She and her music have sometimes appeared on Jazz FM. In 2014, " h i s a k a" was selected and performed for "International Divas" concert series that was held at Trinity-St Paul's United Church in Toronto, CA. ​ "h i s a k a" has released 2 albums so far. Her debut album called "higher sky" was released in 2013. In 2016, February she released her 2nd album produced by George Koller - Top 5 bassist in Canada / a prestigious producer. This new record has consolidated a varied element of music -- Jazz, Classic, Rock, R&B, Pop, and more. The world class musicians including the legendary Canadian trumpet player, Guido Basso, joined this album too. "h i s a k a" has done more than 150 gigs last two years in Japan and Canada. She keeps to be active to have many performances worldwide. She has been performed with world class musicians such as Guido Basso, Rita Chiarelli, Laila Biali, Barbra Lica, Mark Kieswetter, Ross Maclntyre, Ori Dagan, and more.​​ Her original songs have been played on many different countries including U.S.,U.K., Australia, France, Canada and Japan.
