  Phytoncide Ignis Hideout (IGNIS) is a five-piece hybrid rhythm collective centered around the energy and spirit of samba batucada. Combining the powerful grooves of Brazilian samba percussion with drums, IGNIS creates an exhilarating sonic experience filled with dynamic rhythms and infectious energy. From the sharp metallic sounds of handheld percussion to the deep resonance of bass drums, the ensemble delivers a rich spectrum of sounds that captivates audiences. Another distinctive aspect of IGNIS is its rhythm-based fitness program. Rather than focusing on complex samba dance techniques, the group invites audiences to participate through simple and accessible movements that anyone can enjoy, naturally drawing people into the rhythm. IGNIS aims to create more than a performance. Harnessing the primal power of samba rhythms, the group creates celebratory spaces where people can break free from the pressures and constraints of everyday life, move their bodies freely, and connect through music regardless of age or experience. The members are seasoned performers and leaders with extensive experience directing and performing percussion sections in the Asakusa Samba Carnival, one of the largest samba events in Japan. Backed by years of experience, their powerful grooves do more than entertain. They transform audiences from spectators into active participants. From late-night dance floors to open-air festival stages under the sun, wherever IGNIS performs, the venue becomes more than a concert space. It becomes a vibrant celebration where everyone can take part and become part of the rhythm.
