"Musical Harvest of the Flutes" is Récolte's long awaited second album.
Building on the high reputation the duo Shioya and Yokoyama established with their work on the debut album "Bountiful Harvest of the Flute", this album gives the listener the unique opportunity to enjoy amazing live flute performances using an incredible array of different types of flute including baroque, 5-key, cylindrical wood flute, gold flute and silver flute, plus an extremely rare conical wood flute. This album is a must listening experience of pure pleasure.
Three guest players also participated in the production of this album. Aya Nagumo, a piano player who also participated on the previous album, knows Récolte well and plays with great balance.
Masaki Tanaka, a bassoonist, is a close friend of Shioya's, and his performance is just as charming as he himself is, and Masayoshi Enokida, former principal of the Osaka Philharmonic, kindly joined the trio from Kobe to play the conical woodwind flute.
Suffused with the many charms of the flute, both baroque and freshly new, all of these pieces are seasoned in the Récolte style.
Enjoy your harvesting of the sounds of the flute in all their glory. Bon appétit!
