    An unlikely group of friends makes for some unexpected harmonies - perhaps the best place to start when describing Tokyo-based slacker surf-rock band Konnichiwa Typhoon. American-born frontman Peter Jens brought his own brand of songwriting to Japan, and after finding a Japanese musical family in Konnichiwa Typhoon, the result became something refreshingly unique. Blending pop, funk, rock and a dash of cross-cultural flair, the band delivers crisp guitar and vocal melodies, layered with three-part harmonies, a steady groove, and the occasional Japanese lyric. // 東京を拠点に活動するスラッカー・サーフ・ロック・バンド、「こんにちわ台風」。その結成のきっかけは、アメリカ出身のフロントマン、ピーター・ジェンズが日本で素晴らしい音楽ファミリーと出会ったことだった。ポップ、ファンク、ロック、そして異文化のセンスをブレンドしたこのバンドは、爽やかでユニークな存在感を発揮する。三声のハーモニー、安定したグルーヴ、歯切れの良いギター、そして日本語の歌詞を織り交ぜたヴォーカルのメロディーを楽しんで欲しい。
