The late Satoru Nakata, an artist who devoted his life to the ultimate healing music, the natural symphony of the earth, collected nature sounds in Japan and other countries around the world a quarter of a century ago.

The sounds of waves, forests, streams, wind, rain, storms, and thunder, and the chorus of birdsong, insects, and animal sounds. Satoru Nakata, a pioneer of field recording in Japan who tirelessly pursued the tones of all happenings in the forest, beach and the sounds of nature creature's life, sadly passed away at the young age of 46 (2007).

He was one of Japan's foremost field recordists and left behind a large number of recordings of natural sounds. The healing project "Super Natural" will bring back to life the "miraculous nature sounds" of that precious time.

The Super Natural x Satoru Nakata "Nature Sound" series is a series of nature sounds from Okinawa Island, Miyako Island, Ishigaki Island, and Iriomote Island.

It is believed to have been recorded at Aragusuku Beach, on Ikema Island, but no notes were left stating the exact location of the recording. The sounds of waves, murmuring streams, chirping birds, insects...you can hear the richness of nature and life in those days.

As Satoru Nakata himself says, "When stillness descends, you can hear the music of mysterious nature.

And as you listen to the "miraculous nature sounds" that he spent his life collecting, imagine and think about the scenery of that time, and feel the heartbeat of the earth spun out from the power of nature.
