If the previous album, Japanese R&B Diva Classics 2000s "Regulation," was a portrait of women living inside externally imposed restrictions, then "Update" is its sequel. From the side that is bound, to the side that updates itself. From heteronomy to autonomy, from resignation to strategy. Z-generation women now live inside the delicate, harsh daily ritual of updating themselves each morning and offering that update to the world.
Across eight tracks, the album dissects modern female self-consciousness from eight different angles. A night of drowning in the shallow river of SNS.
