The second collaborative single from Lisa Halim, a female singer-songwriter representing the Japanese surf music scene, and Drew Henmi, a surf singer-songwriter who is gaining attention in the Hawaiian music scene!
With a mix of English and Japanese lyrics, a pleasant acoustic sound, and a refreshing tempo, this song is sure to become a surf anthem around the world. The message we want to send out to the world on the theme of surfing is also a must-see.
The two musicians who love the ocean and surfing first met in May of this year (2022) at a live event at Fujisawa's 8 (Eight) Hotel. Their musicality rooted in acoustic sounds, their thoughts and approaches to environmental issues from a surfer's perspective, and their various ocean-themed messages coincided so well that it was hard to believe it was a coincidence that they were in Hawaii and Japan at the same time.
They quickly became friends and decided to produce a collaborative work on each other's labels. This release was decided.
The first release, an acoustic cover of Coldplay's "YELLOW," was already released on Drew's label on 8/26/2022.
