This nature-sound album captures the summer soundscape of Kamikochi in Nagano Prefecture. Known as a mountain resort in the Japanese Alps and carefully protected as a natural reserve, the area was recorded on location from a rain-washed morning through to late at night using high-quality binaural microphones. Across the misty Tashiro Marsh spreads a chorus of morning birds: the woodpecker's drumming, the clear song of the Japanese robin, and the distant call of the lesser cuckoo. By day the Azusa River murmurs with a crystal flow; by night the voices of kajika frogs frame the silence, tracing the passage of a single day track by track. Listen with headphones or earphones to experience an immersive sense of presence and ASMR effects - as if you were standing there. Please enjoy the living breath of beautiful nature through a day in Kamikochi.
