## Gimmick Drive 『Second Gear』
日本発のガールズバンド、**Gimmick Drive**のセカンドアルバム「Second Gear」。
前作で見せたオルタナティブロック、ガレージ、パンクの衝動をさらに押し広げ、今作では**全曲英語詞**という新たなアプローチに挑戦。
鋭く切り込むギターリフ、荒々しくうねるベース、力強いドラム。その中心を走る女性ボーカルは、時にクールに、時に感情を剥き出しにしながら、楽曲ごとに異なる景色を描いていく。
シンプルなロックンロールから、暗く歪んだオルタナティブ、疾走するガールズパンク、そして大きなスケールで広がるアンセミックなナンバーまで、前作以上に振り幅のあるサウンドを収録。
英語で歌うことによって、日本のガールズバンドという枠を少しだけ飛び越え、どこの国とも、どこの時代とも言い切れない独特の世界へ。
綺麗に整えるより、少し歪んでいるほうがいい。
完璧に説明するより、意味のわからない衝動を残しておきたい。
