小編成と、ひとことで言っても悩みはさまざま。日々お電話をいただくお客様やクリニック等で出会う先生、サポートする楽器店の方からも、編成の変更のご相談や小編成の作品を求める声が少なくありません。特にコンクールの選曲となるとさらに難しくなってきます。
少ない=デメリットと捉えられがちですが、55人と20人では目指すサウンドが違うはず。大編成の作品を無理してやりくりするのではなく、20人の魅力を引き出すことのできる作品をもっと増やしたい、少ない人数で頑張るバンドを私たちの立場からもっと応援できないか。そんな思いでこの作品集を企画したところ、充分とは言えない準備期間の中、6人の作家さんをはじめ、指揮者の加養先生と土気シビックウインドオーケストラの皆さんにも賛同いただき、快く力を貸してくださいました。ただただ感謝の一言に尽きます。
この作品集が小編成バンドの活動を更に充実させる手助けとなれば幸いです。
