Calm is a genius in the fields of ambient, Balearic, and chill-out.
He's been releasing music since the '90s, creating pioneering music that has earned him the trust of discerning listeners both in Japan and overseas. His ocean-themed ambient track, "Shiono Ka," is now available as a digital single.
The scent of the salty ocean greets you as you approach. This ambient masterpiece captures the image of that faint scent, evoking a sense of distance from the sea, through music.

This single is an advance release from "DEEP BLUE" (released 2/27), the new series of the popular compilation "SALT... meets ISLAND CAFE," supervised by beach life magazine/media "SALT...."

    From an early age, he grew up listening to the non-commercialised music selection on 'NHK-FM'. It was during this period that his songwriting and DJ music selection, which was not influenced by genres or trends, was formed. After playing in an omnivorous dance-rock band, he awoke to the freedom of using sequencers and began his solo career. He made his debut in 1997 with the Calm EP. Since then, he has consistently released singles and albums. Currently active in promoting sunset chill-out as well as the dance music scene of clubs and festivals.
