A spell that makes you smile
Nieri Ebita
Nieri Ebita's "A spell that makes you smile" will be released in May 2025.
Japanese title is "EGAONO OMAJINAI"
The unique singing voice, acoustic instruments, electronic sounds, and a sound that gives off a nostalgic and exotic feel maintain the Nieri Ebita style, but this time it has a tropical feel to it, making it a catchy song that can be sung and danced to by people of all ages and genders.
This song was created in 2016 and has been performed at live shows.
The main theme of this song is that "a woman's heartfelt smile makes those around her happy and energetic."
It is also a charm song that can be used when you want the other person to smile, regardless of the relationship, from woman to man, between lovers, regardless of gender, from parents to children, from children to parents, between friends, between bosses and subordinates, etc.
The accordion was performed by RocketMatsu (from Pascals), along with organist Minmin and steel pan player Sakamoto Jai-an.
In addition, the chorus included TENKO YOSHIDA, Sae INUKAI and the RIE Trio, members of Evita's Nara choir.
The recording took place in a rehearsal studio in Tokyo and at Ebita's home in Nara.
The mixing and mastering engineer was Tetz Suzuki, who has worked on MONKEY MAJIK, among others, and the cover art was done by artist Makiko Tanaka, as in the previous album.
