Eve of Betrayal is a historical concept song inspired by Akechi Mitsuhide and the night leading to the Honnō-ji Incident.

As Mitsuhide moves toward Kyoto, the song focuses not on the battle itself, but on the uncertainty, fear, responsibility, and irreversible choice that may have filled the hours before history changed.

The true motives behind Mitsuhides actions remain debated. Rather than presenting one theory as fact, this work reimagines that night as an inner monologue a story of a man moving forward without ever knowing whether his decision was truly right.
