The song takes its inspiration from Retro Licca-Mikan-iro no Kuchibiru released by Takara Tony in 2025.
Though the protagonist is not Licca-chan, the lyrics say it all-a person who has eaten so many tangerines that her skin and hands turn mikan-orange. The interplay between the rock beat and the refrain : Jaundice?No way! combines comedy and dead-serious irony.
Working closely with arranger Hayata Akashi, we embraced a full-blooded blues-rock aesthetic-deliberately departing from Licca'stypically pretty, delicate world. Rieko Kise's vocal delivers a punch that amplifies the track's power. We hope you'll feel both the weight of the sound and the heat of the vocal together-giving the song the full impact we intended.
