Back to Back

"Back to Back" is a new song created to mark the 15th anniversary of fhánas formation, featuring lyrics by Hideki Hayashi and music composed and arranged by Junichi Sato.

It reflects on 15 years of running forward from a time when they were nobodies, bringing them to where they stand today.
The future they once dreamed of was by no means what they had imagined. Yet, bruised and covered in mud, fhána continues to sing.
Junichi Satos melody and chord progressions are unusually simple, yet steeped in deep sorrow, while towanas earnest, poignant vocals vividly bring the scene to life. Subtle cut-ups and electronic accents by kevin mitsunaga are woven throughout, adding fhánas signature texture to the track.
Rather than mere nostalgia for the past, the song captures fhána carrying the sum of their journey as they step forward into the future once again.

On guitar is Kiyoaki Sasahara, guitarist of Spangle call Lilli line, who has photographed fhána for many years. Having observed their 15-year journey through his camera lens, he now joins them as a musician for this landmark release.

The future they envisioned 15 years ago and the reality that exists here todayplacing those two back-to-back, fhána is still singing out to this world.
