ITSUKA
A leading researcher in emotional therapy for dementia has written lyrics packed with knowledge on dementia prevention and treatment! Renowned choreographer RYONRYON is in charge of the choreography!
Professor Emeritus Sasaki Hidetada of the Department of Geriatrics at Tohoku University School of Medicine and Visiting Professor Fujii Masahiko of the Tohoku University Institute of Development, Aging and Cancer wrote the lyrics in the local Akita dialect, with themes such as "spending time with a smile," "respecting your parents," and "being considerate of others," all focused on themes of coexisting with people with dementia and preventing dementia. The song is based on the Akita Ondo song with a dance arrangement and rap style, sung by Akita-born singer Itsuka.
Singing and dancing to this song by grandchildren and children for their grandparents deepens family bonds, and by singing and dancing, grandparents themselves learn about dementia prevention, learn to prevent aspiration, and use movements that are beneficial to the brain.
