Japanese singer-songwriter YUGO OGURA "Walking with you --Sakura in Kyoto-" is the first digitally distributed single sung in English.
March 22, 2021 Released a Japanese version of the digital distribution single with the title "Cherry blossoms flying in the Kyoto Japan incline".
"Walking with you - Sakura in Kyoto -" is set in the world's longest Kyoto Keage Incline, and incorporates the magnificent themes of the Meiji people's romance, civilization, and history into the modern love song.
Keage Incline is located near Nanzenji Temple and is the world's longest sloping railway site with a total length of 582 m.
Lake Biwa Canal, with a height difference of about 36 meters, was a major obstacle at the final point of arrival in the city of Kyoto.
The site of a sloping railroad laid to operate ships on this steep slope when the distribution network was not yet in place. The power electricity was generated at the adjacent hydroelectric power plant.
The super-liberal translation is done by saxophonist and vocalist Billie Jean.
