Yet still the poet’s heart longs to say

A few soft words before the day…

Someone scattered colors bright

Across the paths, the streets in light

Though passersby are wrapped in scarves

My poet’s soul sings from the heart

Tears of rain upon her lashes fall

I run after her

But she waits for me… not
