Jö wrote the lyrics when he was 14 years old, and after 10 years, this is the long-awaited release.
A man who turns into a wolf when exposed to the light of a full moon reveals his true identity to the people he cares about, but they do not accept him and hate him.
The song is a love song written by Jö, who had been struggling with "being normal" in junior high school, and wrote the lyrics by comparing himself with a werewolf.

    Matchstick is a Japanese musician, a solo project by Jö. With a genre-defying musical style and a delicate sensibility, Matchstick crafts songs that confront reality with honesty, resonating with listeners across a wide range of generations. Jö independently handles every aspect of the project, including songwriting, composition, arrangement, artwork, and music video production. In 2019, Matchstick performed alongside Night de Light at the event "Ai no Hakobune," delivering a successful live show. In addition to creating original music, Jö has worked on letter songs for weddings, background music for radio programs, and has provided songs for rappers, idols, and other bands. In 2020, one of these works was broadcast on terrestrial television for the first time. In 2023, Matchstick officially launched as a full-scale project. With over 4 million total views across YouTube and TikTok, Matchstick is gaining attention as a next-generation musician.
