Liam, a 19-year-old who has been hospitalized for months, is losing the will to live. He constantly wonders, "Why am I alive? No one needs me." One day, his friends come to visit him for the first time in a while. Afterward, they consult with his doctor and family to secure permission for him to stay out of the hospital overnight. Later, Liam receives an invitation to a party from his friends. He has long harbored feelings for Charlotte, one of the friends in the group, but has been unable to confess his love due to his illness.
