  Emi Ogawa is a smooth soul singer known for her instantly captivating piano playing and vocals, and her pleasant chorus work, which can be enjoyed on audio recordings. With her unique and lustrous voice, she carefully weaves fleeting emotions. Each song is packed with messages for people to live in the new era. During her childhood, she was immersed in classical piano, but by chance she encountered black music and was deeply impressed. Since then, she spent her teenage years listening to R&B and soul music, and became a singer who reached for her own light. She has performed live mainly in Tokyo, and works as a backing vocalist for artists, a support pianist for singers, and a lyricist. Now that she is a mother, she has begun to depict a wider range of stories. She has blossomed into a new charm, with songs for kids' choirs and confidential songs that bring out the innermost emotions of women of her generation.
