Wabi Sabi Blues Band is a Japan based multi-genre blues band fronted by guitarist/vocalist Thomas Tosh. The sound is based on a traditional four piece rhythm section with horns and harmonica but with a twist. Japanese koto is also a featured instrument as reflected in the the name Wabi Sabi, which is a Japanese aesthetic perspective emphasizing simplicity, space, the passing of time, asymmetry and imperfections. Blues also emphasizes similar elements, creating a natural yet innovative sensibility to traditional musical sounds.
