Artist Profile

  • 3×4×S

3x4xS (SASHISU), an unprecedented fusion of Japanese and Western string music where the 3-stringed shamisen and the 4-stringed cello intersect. The shamisen, a representative traditional instrument of Japan, is played by Shamio, a shamisen performer who has appeared on numerous traditional stages while concealing his identity behind a fox mask. He boasts over 350,000 YouTube subscribers. On the other hand, playing the cello is Nubia, a cellist who has studied cello in Japan, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, with numerous domestic and international competition awards. Nubia is also a composer and lyricist who has provided music to many prominent artists. Their slogan is "Bassatsu Jizai" (freely controlling strumming and sliding sounds).
