The long-awaited third album "3×4×STRIDE" from the Japanese-Western string unit 3×4×S (Sashisu) explores new possibilities while retaining the catchy taste of their previous works. It's a daring endeavor that delves into various genres such as dubstep, trap, metal, and hard rock, seamlessly blending the pinnacle of Japanese performance with the highest level of technique, bringing it into all realms of music. The fusion of Eastern and Western influences has finally reached its apex, making a powerful statement of innovation and conviction on this album.
3x4xS (SASHISU), an unprecedented fusion of Japanese and Western string music where the 3-stringed shamisen and the 4-stringed cello intersect. The members are: Shamio, a mysterious Tsugaru shamisen player who performs wearing a fox mask, boasting over 390,000 YouTube subscribers and more than 78 million total views; and Nubia, a cellist with numerous awards from domestic and international competitions, an official band member of Nobuo Uematsu (composer of the Final Fantasy series), as well as a composer, arranger, and lyricist. A Japanese strumming notes, and a Western sustaining tones - two artists whose completely new combination complements and elevates one another. With world-class mastery, they unleash their full creativity, breaking open new horizons in contemporary music scene.
