Trying to Make It

ArTwins

    Trying to Make It

    ArTwins

A song portraying a 26-year-old band musician who continues to sing while believing in music.
It explores the feeling of never quite fitting into society or everyday life, along with impatience, loneliness, and the stubborn urge to keep going without giving up. Rather than expressing those emotions in an overly serious or dramatic way, the song approaches them through a slightly detached sense of humor and lightness. Even while carrying a sense of melancholy, the goal was to let it ring out as a pop song. The lyrics coexist with damp emotions and dry, matter-of-fact words.
Musically, the track is rooted in tight beats and a smoothly moving bassline, layered with shimmering clean guitars and subtle synth textures to create an indie rock sound. The arrangement aims for a contrast where the music sounds light and breezy, yet carries an underlying sense of tension. The drums intentionally retain the raw texture of home recording, preserving a rough and unpolished atmosphere rather than overly refining the sound.
The music video, released simultaneously with the track, centers around the motif of a "red balloon." It portrays a character trying to protect something precious - fragile, yet impossible to let go of easily - while continuing to hold onto it together with the people around them.
This is a song for anyone who feels shaken by insecurity, talent, or age, yet still wants to believe in something and keep moving forward.
