About Soyo Oka
Oka started playing piano at an early age, studied composition at Osaka College of Music, and began working in music. 1987 joined Nintendo as a sound composer, working on music for Nintendo's video game software. 1995 left Nintendo to work as a freelance artist. His representative works during his time at Nintendo include "Ice Hockey," "Fumikon Mukashi Hanashi Yuyuki," "Super Mario Kart," "Sim City," and "Pilot Wings. Since becoming independent, he has provided music for animation, commercials, and games. He has written many books and serialized his work in magazines and other publications.
