This track is included on Gota Nishidera (NONA REEVES)'s "Human," a "human" cover album that tackles the deep city pop (pop songs/new music) of the '80s and '90s.
"Yes-No" is an up-tempo, poignant love song with a hint of rock, released by Off Course in 1980.
This song, which emerged in 1980 amid a sense of anticipation of a new era, is arranged to incorporate the atmosphere and flavor of music from the '80s onwards, looking back from a modern perspective, and the vocals are filled with love for the original, resulting in an irresistible finish. The arrangement was co-produced by Gota Nishidera and his close friend Tomoya Yamagata. The arrangement adds a rock touch with a rhythmic structure that deliberately emphasizes the 8-beat, and the chorus work in the chorus is both beautiful and heartbreaking, resulting in an outstanding cover.
He debuted in 1997 as the singer and main songwriter of NONA REEVES. Since then, he has worked as a music producer, lyricist and composer for many artists and projects, including Shonentai, SMAP, V6, YUKI, Yasuyuki Okamura, A.B.C-Z and Airi Suzuki. Outside of the band, he is also active as a writer, MC and runs his own YouTube channel, Nishidera Gota Channel (NGC).
