Lyric

Tamed the fire

Tera Kira

And in the beginning, there was the sea

The sea that breathed to the rhythm of the tide

Whose salty waves licked the wounds of the cliffs

We walked along its edge, barefoot

Leaving footprints that the wind carried away

Scented with wormwood

And voices echoed in the whisper of the reeds

They sang of how they tamed the fire

How their hands shaped the first clay pots

And in those pots, the sky was brewed, mixed with grain

While the smoke carried our prayers to the stars

Racing across the night sky

I remember how you broke the pot by the doorstep

The earth mixed with shards, and the rain soaked the clay

And from the crack, a plant sprouted with yellow flowers

Which was named “memory.”

Now its seeds are scattered by birds

And it blooms where we no longer are

But where we always return in dreams

To once again hear how the dawn breathes

How the sea breathes
