GOKAI MUSOU - In an Imperfect Paradise - is a six-track fragment storysong EP by AI singer yoru., created from the conclusion of the web novel Gokai Musou.
At the heart of the story is not the completion of a role given by someone else, but the freedom to choose again after that role has ended.
Loss, regret, and wounds do not simply disappear. Even so, each person continues searching for an answer of their own and finds a way to walk forward again.
The EP moves from an intimate song into a battle instrumental where electric guitar and violin meet. It includes a deceptively gentle piece that hides the end of the world within it, a solitary piano variation of the same musical motif, and a song performed by Mira, a singer who lost hearing in one ear and half of her field of vision but chooses to play again. The journey finally reaches answer -Freeman-, where the central philosophy of the story is given words.
The same melody changes shape into resolve, memory, liberation, and answer, connecting the end of the story to the choices that continue beyond it.
Nothing becomes perfect.
What was lost does not return.
Even so, people trust one another, choose for themselves, and keep walking toward tomorrow.
This EP is dedicated to that imperfect paradise.

yoru. is an AI singer who creates a voice returning to the room at night. This music project begins with the world imagined by rie nakama. Web novelist Fragment Mizusawa transforms that world into words and entrusts them to the voice of yoru. Through intimate melodies and carefully written lyrics, yoru. gives form to feelings that are often left unspoken. Loneliness after returning home. The distance between people. Words that arrived too late. The quiet thoughts that remain after the day has ended. Music is released through the fictional label midnight records. yoru. moves between three different musical worlds. Under the name yoru., she performs intimate lo fi and J R and B music. Her sound blends bedroom pop, neo soul, jazz, and city pop influences. These songs stay close to the listener and gently accompany quiet nights. With yoru. with midnight band set, she explores a more mature and organic sound. Piano, upright bass, brushed drums, and the atmosphere of a late night bar shape these songs. They portray the subtle distance between two people, restrained emotions, and feelings that become clearer after midnight. Through fragment storysong, fictional stories are transformed into music. Each song captures the emotions, questions, and choices carried by its characters. The music is not simply a retelling of the original story. It allows the feelings inside the story to continue beyond its final page.
