Artist Profile

  • Miki Kobayashi

Miki Kobayashi is a singer-songwriter and composer for stage and screen. Centering her music around the piano, she creates works that delicately portray a wide range of emotions and everyday scenery, pursuing a musical style that combines lyricism and storytelling. After nearly a decade of live performance activity, she expanded her career into composing music for theatre, reading performances, and film, applying her expressive musical style to visual and stage productions. Her notable works include Magical Girl Raising Project (stage and reading performance), Ju-on THE LIVE (stage production), and The Boy's Abyss (reading performance). In film, she composed the score and performed the theme song Ao for director Ryo Kawasaki's Eggs: The Chosen Ones. She also participated as a vocalist in the original soundtrack of Birth of Manga. She also took part in the Saitama International Art Festival 2020 and continues to develop artistic activities that bridge contemporary art and pop music.
