Chasing a False Dawn

The rain keeps falling.
"It will stop someday. Everything will be fine."
That's what everyone says.
But I can't bring myself to believe it anymore.

Still, somewhere deep inside, I can't help but hope.
That beyond this rain, something is waiting for me.
