Loveless

A certain manga hero once said, "I will protect the world with the power of love."
An anime heroine shouted, "I will make everyone happy with the magic of love."
A drama protagonist declared, "Without love, everything is meaningless,"
and a film heroine believes, "Love can save people."

In this way, many stories depict love as an absolute form of justice or power. However, at the same time, a former boss abandoned me, saying, "You are useless because you have no love," and a past lover left, saying, "I cannot feel any love from you."

"Will everything go well if I have love? Will it be at least a bit better with love?"
Even if I ask myself these questions, what exactly is love in the first place?
Do I fail to understand love because I do not have it, or do I not have it because I fail to understand it?
