Two people meet by chance in a city far from home-she, born in Osaka; he, raised in Tokyo. The setting is Kanazawa, under the rain.
As they sit side by side, sharing a drink, they are both acutely aware that the other has a life-a place-to return to. That is precisely why they yearn to draw closer, yet also why they cannot cross the line.
"So, please don't ask for my contact information." Hidden within those words lies a love they wish they could forget, but cannot.
Rather than promising to meet again, they leave it entirely to chance-a poignant, mature game of hearts.
A night in Kanazawa: streetlights blurred by the rain, the clinking of ice in a glass. What was meant to be nothing more than a beautiful, fleeting memory begins to transform into a genuine, deep-felt love.
"If we happen to cross paths again, then it must be fate."
This is a bittersweet, romantic ballad about wishing for a reunion that may never come to pass.
