Ominous noise intrudes upon a quiet world.
Beyond the door, outside the window,
crashing sounds and laughter intertwine
with songs we'd rather not hear.

As if leaning into that noise,
a voice gently begins to sing.
As though slipping out of the room,
as if gazing down upon this world from above.

Everyday noise is transmuted into music,
woven from a viewpoint that looks down on the world from within a room.
