The song of PIROKALPIN smells like a man who twained herself to first love. There is a mysterious force that forcibly pulls out a "boy" in myself. So, I often listen to it when I'm feeling tired. In this album, there is a clear feeling of the sound of the band, and Ms. Matsuki's voice is fresh. So it satisfies my feeling as if I watched their live performance! - Masamune Kusano(Spitz)

Their sound is like a sponge with a magical speed that absorb with a tremendous momentum while wrapping softly and gently. Please let me tremble by turning the scenery that I can see and invisible to sound in the future as well. - Yoko Nihonbashi (cartoonist)

The voice flies straight to deep place in my heart. What a lovely singing voice! I can see the future behind a flaming fire. This album is sufficient to prove the existence of PIROKALPIN, isn't it? Congratulations on completing a wonderful album! - Akihiro Osako (e-sound speaker)

The first time I listened to their music was "Human Evolution Theory." I remember feeling being gnawed but comfortable by lyrics with edge effect and the seriousness of her singing voice. In this album, "Proof of Existence" stuck me. I am attracted to the coexistence of strength and transience, or light and darkness. - Takayuki Mizushina (cartoonist)

The album was very, very great. The moment the first "time meter" was played, suddenly my spirit had been thrown out alone in space. Listening this album I was very "lonely" to end of the last song. Thank you for the wonderful music. It is my secret that I cried a little to the innocence of her voice of " Symposium near the end ". - Koyama Hidekazu (Lyu: Lyu)

PIROKALPIN is a Japanese rock band that is based in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo.
Dreamy and fantastic worlds are envisioned by her transparent voice that shines like an innocent boy and a unique band sound inspired by UK rock. The nostalgic melody and the lyrics between reality and fantasy written by Chieko Matsuki (Vo, Gt.) with her unique sense of words are very simple, but they have the strength and beauty of the Japanese language...
In July 2009, Their two debut singles, "Human Evolution Theory"(exclusive for Tower Records) and "Kyoto"(exclusive for HMV), were released simultaneously. It was very unique and unusual that two separate singles were released simultaneously for two rival companies.

Here is a fantastic guitar rock drawn with their unique view of the world. The listener would be captivated by their universal melody, fantastic sound and words like beautiful crystals.
* The origin of the name is "Pilocarpine" which is a remedy for glaucoma. Because it is a powerful medicine to be used as a remedy for glaucoma, it means "to recover the sight that has disappeared" and "meaning that drugs are also poisonous depending on usage".
