The basis for this song is a song called "Yokohama Midnight Dancing" that I released about 20 years ago.
The song was written by the lyricist who I worked with on my debut song as a composer, "Bitter Heart."
Unfortunately, this lyricist passed away a few years ago.
While she was alive, she told me that I could rewrite the song we wrote together and use it as a new piece.
So after that, I changed the title and lyrics and released a song called "Yokohama Vivid Bayside,"
and this time I changed the lyrics and title and wrote this song again. This is because I like the melody and worldview of this song.
What I want to convey with this song is my desire to eliminate sexual entertainment and sexual harassment, which are still rampant in the entertainment industry and Japanese society.
So I wrote these lyrics with the hope that sexual harassment and sexual entertainment will be eliminated from the entertainment industry and Japanese society, and that people will be able to make their own way purely through their own ability and effort.
There are two endings for the protagonist in these lyrics.
One is a story in which she is scouted by the entertainment industry and secures her major debut by providing sexual favours.
The other is a story in which she is scouted by the entertainment industry and secures her major debut through her own ability alone.
I deliberately put these lyrics with contradictory endings.
I recommend you listen to it and think about it.
I'm a lyric composer who is releasing songs that GUMI usually sings. I belong to JASRAC.My favorite music genres are funk and city pop.
