「愛」「欺瞞」「炎上」という三つの“現代の火あぶり”を描いたダークトリロジー。
1. Gently
優しさの顔をした支配。
静かな言葉で壊されていく心。
叫びも暴力もないのに、
逃げ場のない愛に追い詰められていく。
“End me gently”という衝撃的なラインは、
死を望む言葉ではなく、
「この曖昧な苦しみを終わらせてくれ」という祈り。
静と狂気の境界線を歩く、
最も内面的で痛みの深い一曲。
2. LIAR
社会、成功、正義、そして自分自身。
誰もが“正しい顔”をして生きている世界で、
自分もまた嘘の一部だと認める楽曲。
批判でも告発でもなく、
告白。
“I’m a liar”と繰り返すことで、
他人ではなく自分にナイフを向ける。
そして最後には
“You’re a liar”と観客に突きつけることで、
会場全体を共犯者にする。
攻撃的でありながら、
極めて人間的な一曲。
3. Burning Alive
一つの過ちで世界中から裁かれる時代。
“炎上”という現代の火あぶりを、
中世の魔女裁判のイメージに重ねた楽曲。
バッシングする側と、される側。
どちらが罪なのか。
正義という名の石、
アルゴリズムという火。
それでも最後に残るのは、
「それでも俺は生きている」という宣言。
本作の象徴的トラック。
コンセプト
このシングルは、
愛に焼かれ
嘘に縛られ
正義に燃やされる
現代人の姿を描いている。
敵は他人ではない。
敵は“構造”であり、
そして自分自身。
重くて、痛くて、でも逃げない。
ACEの中でもかなり攻めた作品になってる。
