"Garuda Ryukyu"
~The sound of the sanshin echoes across the equator to the future~
The title track "Garuda Ryukyu" was created in collaboration with Indonesia's largest creative eisa group, U-maku Eisa Shinka Indonesia, to commemorate the 18th anniversary of its establishment, and received high acclaim and coverage in the Indonesian media.
The album includes "PACIFIC," which depicts Okinawan immigrants to the world, "Heavenly Rainbow" and "Starry Blue," which sing of our precious lives, "Arirang" in Korean and Okinawan, "Kijimuna goes to Hawaii," which incorporates Hawaiian words, and " Eight Views of Ryukyu" which is based on a Ryukyuan Chinese poem. Also included a cover of "Shinkanucha", the theme song of Worldwide Eisa Festival 2011.
Rio INYAKU's first album "Ryukyu Revolution" charted as the top TuneCore J-POP album in Canada and Singapore, and his music has many fans overseas. His 2nd album "Garuda Ryukyu," released with great enthusiasm, is a new breath of Okinawan music nurtured through cross-cultural exchange.
