KLEPTO is a two-piece alternative rock band from Asakusabashi, Tokyo,
known for a solid and energetic sound rooted in the DNA of UK indie rock.

"This is the day" is their fifth single of 2026 --- a song about the moment

Distorted guitar riffs and a driving beat, woven together with bilingual lyrics

KLEPTO
A two-piece indie rock band based in Asakusabashi, Tokyo, consisting of SJM (Vo/Gt) and BNKN (Ba). Rooted in the garage rock revival, 2000s indie rock, and post-punk, the duo delivers a sharp, driven sound with an unmistakably Tokyo edge. Selected for Spotify Japan's official playlist "Indie Japan" (formerly "Edge!") annual top 50 two years running; charted in the J-WAVE TOKIO HOT 100 Top 20. In September 2025, they headlined a sold-out show at Ebisu BATICA. In July 2026, they released their new single "We're just lover," featuring Taiki Kumagai of Helsinki Lambda Club on lead guitar and produced by Dai Okumura (Creep Hyp, Sawao Yamanaka).
