Quietly, beneath the sound of turning pages, the words are still breathing.
wait a while is an introspective lyrical work born from the ongoing journey through the dictionary.
Carrying countless definitions upon his back, the human being still hesitates, learns, loves, and continues to walk forward.
This universal human arc is portrayed through a soundscape filled with quiet heat.
Mana. Water. Non-action. Purity. The endless beyond.
Religion, philosophy, and bodily sensation gently intersect, gradually converging into a single aesthetic of waiting.
There is no need to hurry.
Even as we are, imperfect and stained, we are allowed to live beautifully.
Presented by Kneeking Records,
a piece that gazes into the delicate threshold between words and existence.
Kneeking Records is an independent music label that translates The Dictionary Journey into sound. The label was founded by Yoshihiro Sato, a calligrapher, a lifelong dictionary traveler, and a former kickboxing world champion. Since 2013, Yoshihiro has been reading dictionaries one page at a time writing, reflecting, and quietly documenting each newly discovered word. In 2025, these accumulated records began to take musical form. The Dictionary Journey is an ongoing exploration. With each passing day, new words are encountered, and their traces continue to grow steadily and without end. Kneeking Records spans a wide range of genres, including Reggae, J-Pop, R&B, Soul, House, Gospel, Funk, Ska, and at times, Punk Rock. While honoring the natural rhythm of language, the label pursues sound that is both refined and deeply listenable transforming the voice descending from calligraphy into music. That is the sound of Kneeking Records.
