Below your raised hand
I gazed at my red toenails
Just to remember
I’m independent from you
My little girl can cry for me
In the deep tunnel from my heart
So I smile in rain
I walk in pain
Now I know how to accept what I deserve
Before you take me as the one-way ticket
To escape from what you’ve made up
Just for granted
Have you ever thought of my thought?
Don’t take a bite if you won’t have it all
I woke up grown up enough to decide
Which way to go on my own
This is where I saw in a dream
Even though it doesn’t look the same
Doesn’t matter what you say
I know which way to go
I know how to accept what I deserve
Doesn’t matter what you say

Artist Profile
Momo
Momo (Momoko Kawabata) is a singer songwriter known for her passionate piano style, occasionally accompanied by the support of violins and a band. She was born and raised in Chiba, the neighbourly prefecture of Tokyo without much influence from any friends, family or the music industry over there. She self-taught herself how to write songs, how to sing and how to play the piano, mostly relying on her ears and so Momo's unique playing style is highly influenced by this. Although she is often described as the Japanese Kate Bush or Ben Folds, she is into guitar music and live bands such as Elliott Smith, Deerhunter, Modest Mouse and so on rather than shiny piano pop music.
