• Itak Shaggy Tojo

  My first recording was at Legendary A.Pablo's Rockers Int. Studio. I recorded 2 tunes for LLOYD HEMMINGS's -HEALER HAS COME- album Fundeh Binghi Drum and Thunder Bass Binghi Drum. It was around 1990 in Jamaica. From the end of 20 century to the beginning of 21 century I recorded Akette Binghi Drum for several Mighty Massa Album and one 10inch vinyl. My official first Pianica recording was during this period for Mighty Massa and this riddim is first named as -REVELATION- by RAS KUSH of BLACK REDEMPTION. Mi and Ras Kush voiced nuff artists on this riddim such as JUDAH ESKENDER TAFARI,SINGIE SHANTE,IDREN NATURAL, RAS IWA a.k.a. WHITE MICE,GLEN BROWN also JOHNNY OSBOURNE and recently this JOHNNY OSBOURNE cut(A tune is called FREEDOM) was released by BLACK REDEMPTION x LION'S DEN as 12 inch Vinyl including my Pianica cut. At year 2008, my first full album was released by WACKIE'S.The title is called -ROOTS JOURNEY-. Also in the same year my second album was released by Alpha Enterprise Japan. This Album is called -SUDDEN DESTRUCTION- feat. NOMADIX,KING ALPHA,RUSS DISCIPLES, BULL WACKIE,MIGHTY MASSA,BUNNINGTON JUDAH,SUPA UT,GHETTO PRIEST,WHITE MICE,EARL 16,JOHNNY OSBOURNE,MIGHTY MASSA and so and so. Around same time,I appeared as Melodica player on 12inch by OPERATION RECORDS UK. I started my own label also around 2008-2009. The label is called -PIRKA ATUY-. I produced EARL 16,GUSSIE P,WHITE MICE,HORACE ANDY,RUSS DISCIPLE,SINGIE SHANTE,MIGHTY MASSA on this label and all my products was played bymany soundsystem world wide like JAH SHAKA,ABA SHANTI I,IRATION STEPPAS and many more. Also for BLACK REDEMPTION label,I produced JAH SHAKA,GUSSIE P,IDREN NATURAL,MIGHTY MASSA on 10inch vinyl. I worked with CHAZBO,RAS MUFFET,ASHANTI SELAH,ROOTS HITEK,SHILOH ITES,KHERU JONAH DAN,ITAL MICK,UNIVERSAL LOVE MUSIC WORKS and more and some works were released as vinyl such as ~KETTE DRUM VERSION-CHAZBO meets ITAK TOJO~ by ROOTS TEMPLE UK label. I produced CHARITY WORK fi Earthquake Tragedy in JAPAN and this project feat. Hugh numbers of artists world wide and compiled 5cds and 1dvd in one package. The title is called -VOLUNTEER ITIOPIANS-. I work as the musician in Roors&Dub Band in Japan. Also a selector, Soundsystem Operator,Event Promoter. I organized the show of the artists such as YAMI BOLO,DOUGIE CONSCIOUS,ADDIS PABLO,LUTAN FYAH,PATO BANTON,JAH SHAKA,CHAZBO,NORRIS MAN, ABA SHANTI I,JOHNNY OSBOURNE,MIGHY MASSA,GABRE SELASSIE,LIONESS FONTS,STEPH POCKETS,CEDRIC "CONGOS"MYTON and more.
