Lyric

Quarter past, the streets are open

Traffic lights are changing slow

One hand resting on the wheel now

Got no place I need to go

Storefront colors cross the dashboard

Then they're gone without a trace

Every block feels a little lighter

At this hour, at this pace

No calls coming through

No reason to decide

Just another empty road

Opening up tonight

Quiet lanes

Taking me across the city

Quiet lanes

Everything feels easy

Let the streetlights come and fade

Let the night move at its pace

I could drive for hours

Through these quiet lanes

Bass is rolling through the speakers

Soft enough to hear the tires

Office towers in the distance

Still have scattered little lights

Take the turn I never usually

Have the extra time to take

Maybe getting there can wait now

There's no hurry anyway

No calls coming through

No reason to decide

Just another empty road

Opening up tonight

Quiet lanes

Taking me across the city

Quiet lanes

Everything feels easy

Let the streetlights come and fade

Let the night move at its pace

I could drive for hours

Through these quiet lanes

Low beams

Cool air

Empty intersections everywhere

Soft sound

Slow ride

Leave another busy day behind

Quiet lanes

Taking me across the city

Quiet lanes

Everything feels easy

Let the streetlights come and fade

Let the night move at its pace

I could drive for hours

Through these quiet lanes

Quiet lanes

Carry me away
