"To give something up is to make something clear."
Brian Shinsekai releases his new digital single "AKIRAMERU."
Arriving just three months after his first full-length album in eight years, Kutsushita Katappo Hero (released December 17, 2025), the track presents a new chapter in his songwriting. Built around programmed drums, the sound layers distorted electric piano, synthesizers, and fuzz guitar into a striking rock arrangement. All performances, programming, arrangement, and mastering were handled by Brian Shinsekai himself.
The title "AKIRAMERU" comes from an alternate meaning of the Japanese word for "to give up," which can also imply "to make something clear." The song reflects on the moment when letting go of what cannot be changed reveals what truly matters, expressed through melodic Japanese pop songwriting and introspective lyrics.
Known for his music production work with PIGGS and as a support keyboardist for OKAMOTO'S, Brian Shinsekai distills his reflections into a thoughtful pop song with this latest release.
