• Manatsu

  Born in Kato City, Hyogo Prefecture Began piano lessons at age 4 and started writing lyrics and composing music in junior high school. During high school, influenced by Masayoshi Yamazaki, began performing acoustic guitar and vocals. Studied jazz and other genres for two years in the piano department at Mezer House Music College. Formed a band during enrollment and performed primarily in Tokyo. Handled vocals, guitar, and songwriting/composition in the band. Studied vocals under Emika Izumida. After the band disbanded, she pursued a solo career. She won the Audience Award at a contest held at Yoshimoto ∞ Hall and the Excellence Award at the Kamata Higashiguchi Station Christmas Concert. She also composed and released a town revitalization song for the Kamata Higashiguchi Shopping District. Currently, she performs live primarily in the Tokyo metropolitan area using a style combining acoustic guitar and vocals with a loop station. She also works as a vocal instructor at YAMAHA Music School. Starting in 2020, she began activities with the gospel unit [Qesheth NoteS]performing annual independent live shows and hall concerts, and appearing at various events regardless of genre. Recently, she has performed on stages such as Tokyo Big Sight and Yoyogi Second Gymnasium. Furthermore, driven by her love for cats, she donates a portion of CD and merchandise sales to cat rescue activists.
